- What is certified payroll?
- Certified payroll is a weekly payroll report that contractors and subcontractors on federally funded construction projects must submit to the contracting agency. Required under the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. § 3141), the report documents each worker's name, classification, hours worked, wages paid and fringe benefits. The standard federal form is the WH-347. The report includes a signed statement of compliance certifying that the information is accurate and that workers were paid at least the prevailing wage rate.
